About this role

micro1 is engaging AI Finance Domain Experts to contribute to a customer's project focused on enhancing AI-driven financial applications. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required, your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity targets professionals with advanced financial acumen from private equity, venture capital, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, investment management, or strategic finance. Contributors will leverage their analytical rigor, financial judgment, and exceptional communication to ensure the quality and relevance of AI model outputs in finance.

Scope of Work

  • Analyze, review, and edit AI-generated financial content for accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
  • Develop, refine, and evaluate AI prompts related to financial analysis, valuation, and investment decision-making.
  • Assess and annotate complex financial data, reports, and model outputs using detailed rubrics and best practices.
  • Author and review technical documentation, investment memos, due-diligence reports, and research summaries.
  • Evaluate AI output for logical consistency, robustness, and adherence to professional financial standards.
  • Conduct independent research and fact checking to validate information used by AI systems.
  • Provide constructive feedback to optimize prompt engineering and improve model performance in finance use cases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, investment management, or strategic finance.
  • Track record of producing high-quality investment memos, valuation analyses, financial models, due-diligence reports, or market research.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and attention to detail in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
  • Exceptional written communication and professional editing skills, with proficiency in technical and business writing.
  • Experience in prompt authoring, data annotation, content review, or evaluation of AI/model outputs is a strong advantage.
  • Master’s, JD, MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree is a plus; candidates with backgrounds from highly selective universities or equivalent academic programs are encouraged to participate.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, independent research experience, and a commitment to quality assurance and fact checking.
