Terms

What we provide, and what it costs

Self-paced training about AI data annotation, model evaluation, and related work, written by DataAnnotationJobs.org; a skills assessment; a certification with a capstone marked by a person; and placement support. All of it is free. There is no paid tier, no card is required, and we take no commission on anything you earn.

Course material is for your own use. Please do not republish or resell it. We may add, change, or withdraw courses, and we may close an account that abuses the service, spams other users, or submits work that is not their own.

What we do not promise

• No course, certificate, or introduction guarantees a job, an interview, a contract, or any level of earnings.
• No course guarantees you will pass an employer's qualification test. We are not involved in any employer's hiring or assessment process.
• Placement support is a genuine effort on our part, not a placement. We are not an employer and not a recruitment agency acting on your behalf, and the hiring decision belongs entirely to the company.
• We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for Scale AI, Surge AI, Mercor, Micro1, DataAnnotation.tech, or any other company listed on this site.
• Pay ranges quoted anywhere on this site are observed or estimated market figures, not an offer.

Certificates

Certificates are issued by DataAnnotationJobs.org on completion of an assessed capstone. They are not an accredited qualification, they are not issued or recognised by any employer or educational institution, and no employer is obliged to accept one. Treat a certificate as evidence that you completed our assessment, nothing more. Being free does not change that either way.

Donations

• Donations are voluntary gifts, not payment for anything. Nothing on this site is withheld from people who do not donate, and donating buys no priority in placement support or on the job board.
• Because you receive nothing of value in return, donations from US taxpayers are tax deductible to the extent the law allows. We send a written acknowledgement for each one. We cannot give tax advice.
• A donation made in error can be refunded if you tell us within 30 days. Recurring donations can be cancelled at any time and take effect from the next scheduled payment.
• We do not publish donor names without asking first. See the support page for the detail.

Employer partners

Partners fund cohorts and hire from them. Funding buys no editorial control over course material, no ranking advantage on the job board, and no access to learner details. Those commitments are set out in full on the partners page, and the share of our funding they represent is published on the impact page.

Job listings

Listings are collected from a maintained feed and link out to the employer. We are not the employer, we do not issue contracts or paychecks, and we do not verify that a role is still open when you click. Listing is free for every employer. Full detail on sourcing is in how listings work.

The free assessment

The multiple choice part of the skills assessment runs entirely in your browser and is not stored or transmitted. The clip test at the end is submitted to us with your contact details, and we review it to suggest roles. The score is a way to check yourself rather than a credential, and it is not the test any employer uses.
