Donate · Tax deductible in the US

Support our work

Every course here is free because someone else already paid for it. If you are in a position to be that someone, this is where to do it.

Online donations are not switched on yet. Get in touch and we will send bank details and a receipt, or arrange a transfer directly.

What a donation pays for

Most of our cost is people rather than software. Capstones are marked by a person against a published rubric, written feedback is returned on each section, and placement support means someone reading a learner's background and matching it to live openings. Those hours are the thing donations buy.

The rest goes on writing and maintaining the courses, keeping the job feed current, and hosting. We do not spend donations on paid acquisition.

Tax deductibility

DataAnnotationJobs.org Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, EIN 00-0000000. Donations from US taxpayers are tax deductible to the extent the law allows, and you receive nothing of value in return, so the full amount qualifies. We send a written acknowledgement for every donation and an annual summary for recurring donors.

Outside the US, treatment depends on your own jurisdiction and we cannot advise on it. We are not able to give tax advice in any case.

Other ways to help

  • If you hire annotators or evaluators, fund a cohort and recruit from it. That is the partner programme.
  • If you work in this field, mark capstones or review a course. Both are the bottleneck. Tell us what you can do.
  • If the programme found you work, tell us. It is how the placement figure stops being an undercount, and it is what grant applications turn on.
  • Send the pathways to anyone who has just been laid off. Reaching people early is most of the problem.

What we do with your details

A donation gets you a receipt and, if you want one, an occasional update. We do not publish donor names without asking, we do not sell or share the list, and you can unsubscribe from anything we send. The privacy policy has the full detail.
