Impact and transparency

A free programme still costs someone something, so here is what the money bought and where it came from.

Figures marked as not yet reported are exactly that. We would rather publish a gap than a guess, and nothing on this page is modelled, projected, or rounded up from a smaller sample.

What the programme has done

Learners enrolled
Not yet reported
People who started at least one course. Counted once, however many courses they take.
Courses completed
Not yet reported
Completions of a full course, not individual modules.
Certificates issued
Not yet reported
Capstones marked and passed. Resits are not counted twice.
Placements reported
Not yet reported
Paid work confirmed by the learner. We cannot see employer systems, so this undercounts.

Placements are the hardest of these to count honestly. We have no view into employer systems, so the figure only reflects what learners tell us, and it will always be lower than the truth.

Where the funding comes from

  • Grants

    Not yet published

Workforce and displacement grants. Named in the annual report once the first cycle closes.

  • Employer partners

    Not yet published

Labs and vendors who fund cohorts and hire from them. They do not set the syllabus or buy placement on the board.

  • Individual donations

    Not yet published

Mostly from people who went through the programme themselves.

Learners are not on that list and never will be. Courses, the assessment, the capstone marking, and placement support are free, and there is no paid tier anywhere on this site. You can support the work if you want to, but nothing is withheld if you do not.

What we will not do

  • Sell learner data. Your details reach an employer only when you ask us to send them, and we tell you which employer and why.
  • Rank a partner's listing above anyone else's on the job board, or let a funder edit a course.
  • Publish a success rate we cannot evidence, or count someone as placed on the strength of an application.

Questions about the numbers

If a figure here looks wrong, or you want the methodology behind one of them, ask us. If you went through the programme and found work, telling us makes the placement figure less of an undercount for everyone who comes after you.
