Privacy policy
DataAnnotationJobs.org is a public job board. You can browse every listing and read every job description without an account and without giving us anything. Applying is the one part that asks for your details, and we pass those to the employer on your behalf.
Information we publish
Job titles, companies, pay ranges, locations, tags, and apply links come from a listings feed described in how listings work. That information is meant to be public. Browsing the board needs nothing from you, and we never ask for a résumé or government ID. Course payments go through Stripe, so we do not see your card details.
Information you send us
If you email hello@dataannotationjobs.org, we keep the message long enough to respond and to fix the listing you flagged. Do not send passwords, assessment answers, or other people’s personal data.
Applying for a job
Applying asks for your name, email, phone number, and LinkedIn profile. All four are required. The full job description is readable without giving us anything, and you can always go to the employer’s own careers page instead of applying through us.
We pass your application to the employer named on the listing. That is the point of sending it: your details and your screening answers go to the company you applied to, and to nobody else. You always know which employer, because it is the one on the listing you applied for. From the moment it reaches them, what they do with it is covered by their privacy policy rather than ours, and the hiring decision is entirely theirs.
We keep a copy in two places we control: a Google Sheet, filled by Google Forms, and our own database, hosted by Supabase. We use it to send you roles and training that match, and to know which listings people are interested in. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to any company other than the one you applied to.
After the details, a job page shows a screening test: a video clip to judge and write about. It is part of the application, so the answers go to the employer with everything else, and we read them ourselves to decide who to recommend. They are not sold and they are not used to train a model. The clip is embedded from YouTube in its no cookie mode, so nothing is set there until you press play, and Google’s privacy policy covers the playback once you do.
Course pages use that same form while enrolment is closed. Leaving your details there tells us to email you when the course opens, and nothing more. It is not a purchase and it does not commit you to one.
The account we create for you
When you send us details from any of those forms, we create an account against that email address so you have somewhere to see what you sent and when. Nothing is required of you to have one and nothing about the site is put behind it: job descriptions and apply links stay open to everyone, with or without an account.
There is no password. To open the account you ask for a code, we email you six digits, and typing them in both signs you in and confirms the address is yours. Once signed in you can see your own submissions at my applications and nobody else’s. Accounts and submissions are stored by Supabase, our database processor, and email delivery of the code goes through our email provider. To have the account and everything attached to it deleted, ask through the contact page.
The talent pool form
Joining the talent pool is optional, and unlike a job page it is not in front of anything. It asks for your name, email, phone number, and LinkedIn profile, and the answers go to the same Google Sheet and the same database as the rest.
We use it to tell you about roles and training that match what you told us. We do not sell it, and we do not pass your details to a company without telling you which company and why. Ask us to delete your entry at any time through the contact page and we will remove it from both. Google acts as our processor for the form itself and applies its own privacy policy to the submission.
The skills assessment
The three multiple choice questions in the free assessment are scored entirely in your browser. Those answers are never sent to us and are gone as soon as you close the tab.
The clip test at the end is different. To see your result you submit your written answer with your name, email, phone number, and LinkedIn profile, which land in the same sheet and database as everything else on this page, along with your score. We read them to tell you which roles you are ready for. Stop at the clip and nothing is sent.
Logs, cookies, and third parties
The host (for example a CDN or cloud provider) may store standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested, for security and uptime. If analytics or advertising scripts are added later, this policy will be updated to name them.
Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. It is there for that and nothing else, it is not used to track you across sites, and signing out removes it. Browsing without signing in sets no cookie from us.
Employers have their own privacy policies, and those govern your application once we have passed it on. We are not responsible for how Scale AI, Surge AI, Mercor, or any other company handles it, or for what they ask you for after that. Some listings link out to the employer’s own site instead of collecting an application here, and the same applies from the moment you leave.
