Our mission
AI is changing who works. We help people work with it.
DataAnnotationJobs.org is a registered non-profit. We provide free training, free certification, and job placement support to workers displaced by AI automation, and we connect them directly to paid opportunities in the industry that reshaped their careers. Every course, every assessment, and every service on this site is free, and there is no paid tier behind any of it.
Who we are for
People whose work an AI system absorbed, in whole or in part. The striking thing about this group is that the skill that stopped paying is usually the skill the labs now need in order to judge whether a model is any good.
A software engineer laid off after a coding assistant landed can train to evaluate generated code and grade reasoning, which is the work that keeps that assistant honest. A contact centre or front desk worker replaced by an AI agent knows exactly how those conversations fail, and can train as a linguistic and conversational evaluator. The same holds for writers, translators, teachers, paralegals, and bookkeepers. The pathways map a previous career onto the track that fits it.
What we do
Free courses from annotation foundations through specialist evaluation, a free skills assessment that tells you where your judgement is weak before an employer's qualification test does, a free assessed certification with your work marked by a person, and placement support that points you at the openings worth your time.
Alongside that we run a job board. We collect openings, give each role a stable URL, and publish company context so you can compare who is hiring before you apply. Hiring still happens on the employer's site.
Why it is free, and how it is funded
Charging displaced workers for retraining puts the cost on the people with the least room to absorb it, at the exact moment their income stopped. So we do not. We are funded by grants, by employer partners who want a supply of trained evaluators, and by donations.
Employer partners fund cohorts and hire from them. They do not get your details unless you ask us to pass them on, they do not set the syllabus, and a partner's listing is never ranked above anyone else's on the board. If that ever changes, it will be written here first. What we publish about our funding and our results is on the impact page.
What we are not
- Not an employer. We do not issue contracts, 1099s, or paychecks.
- Not a guarantee. Placement support is real work on our side, but no course, certificate, or introduction guarantees a job, an assessment pass, or any level of earnings. Our certificates are issued by us rather than by an employer or an accredited institution. See the terms.
- Not a recruitment agency. We are not paid per placement and we take no cut of anything you earn.
- Not Scale AI, Surge AI, Mercor, Micro1, or HireCade. See each company page for the official site.

- Not a review site. We do not invent star ratings or “guaranteed” hourly pay.
