Business Owner, Video Data Collection Partner

micro1 is looking for small business owners who want to participate in a paid video data collection project for AI.

Your business would help collect real videos of normal work happening in your workplace. These videos will help train AI systems to better understand how people complete real-world tasks.

You do not need experience with AI. We are looking for business owners with active teams and real day-to-day work.

Who can participate

• Your business may be a good fit if you:
• Are an owner, partner, or co-owner of a business in LATAM, the United States, or Canada
• Have at least 2 employees who can participate
• Have regular work activities that can be recorded safely
• Can have each participating employee record at least 10 hours of work
• Can get permission to record in the workplace
• Can make sure participating employees agree to be recorded
• Can start soon after a short onboarding call
• Employees will use their own iPhone or Android phone to record. Their phone must have an ultra-wide camera and the required motion sensors.

Businesses that may be a good fit

Examples include

• Construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and renovation businesses
• Auto repair, equipment repair, and maintenance businesses
• Machine shops, fabrication shops, woodworking, and manufacturing businesses
• Warehouses, logistics, delivery, and fulfillment businesses
• Landscaping, cleaning, pest control, and property maintenance businesses
• Catering companies, bakeries, restaurants, and commercial kitchens
• Hardware stores, garden centers, greenhouses, and nurseries
• The best fit is a business where employees do different hands-on tasks throughout the day. Assembly-line or highly repetitive work is not a fit.

Privacy and consent

We take privacy seriously. Before recording starts, the business owner must make sure employees agree to participate and that the business has permission to record.

Payment

Businesses are paid based on the amount and quality of approved video data collected.

Requirements

• You own or help run a business in LATAM, the United States, or Canada
• You have at least 2 employees who can participate
• Each employee can record at least 10 hours.
