Bengali Specialist

$25 to $40/hrRemoteContract

About this role

Overview

Bengali catches AI on the you it chooses: tui, tumi, and apni each carry a different closeness, and the model picks wrong. Its script handling can wander, and phrasing from Bangladesh and West Bengal is not interchangeable, though it often treats them as if they were. A native reader is who feels the difference.

As a Bengali Expert, you'll judge and correct AI output in Bengali, teaching models to match closeness and region.

What you’ll actually do

  • Review translations between English and Bengali for meaning, flow, and the right form of address.
  • Score and rank model output in Bengali, catching wrong pronouns and phrasing that ignores regional usage.
  • Write the better version when the model falls short, natural enough to read as native.

Roles this fits

Common backgrounds: Bengali Linguist, Bilingual Reviewer, Localization Specialist.

What we look for

  • Native or near-native fluency in Bengali.
  • Sensitivity to forms of address and to regional variation.
  • Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
  • No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Compensation

$25 to $40/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
