Corporate Accountant

Overview

Ask a model to close the books and it produces entries that foot perfectly and still misstate the result: a lease booked the old way, revenue recognized a quarter early, an intercompany elimination that never happened. The financials look clean and are quietly wrong, and a corporate accountant like you is who catches it.

As a Corporate Accountant you'll evaluate AI on the general ledger, consolidations, and financial close, check the treatment against current standards, and write the answer a careful accountant would put their name on.

What you’ll actually do

• Draft prompts that probe GAAP treatment, consolidations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Review AI output for wrong recognition, missed eliminations, misapplied standards, and entries that do not tie, and rate the reasoning.
• Write the correct treatment when the model falls short, with the working shown clearly.

• Hands-on corporate accounting or controllership experience.
• Comfort with GAAP, the close process, and consolidations.
• Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
• No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Compensation

$75 to $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
