About this role

Overview

Hand a model a merger agreement and it summarizes it fluently, then misses that the indemnification cap swallows the escrow, that a closing condition has no matching covenant, and that the chosen deal structure triggers a tax result no client would accept. The language is polished; the deal logic is broken. A transactional lawyer like you is who notices.

As a Corporate Attorney you'll evaluate AI work on M&A, financings, and governance, test whether the terms actually fit together and protect the client, and rewrite the provisions the way a careful dealmaker would.

What you’ll actually do

  • Draft prompts that test how models handle merger agreements, financings, corporate governance, and deal structuring.
  • Review AI output for mismatched covenants, unworkable closing conditions, mispriced risk allocation, and boilerplate that does not fit the deal, and rate the reasoning.
  • Write the correct provision when the model falls short, with the discipline of a well-negotiated agreement.

Roles this fits

Common backgrounds: M&A Attorney, Transactional Attorney, General Counsel.

What we look for

  • Hands-on transactional experience: M&A, capital markets, venture financings, or general corporate work.
  • A feel for how deal terms fit together and where risk actually sits.
  • Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
  • No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Compensation

$75 to $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
