About this role
Overview
Models write an equity note that sounds like the sell side and falls apart under a covering analyst's read: an estimate that ignores guidance, a target price with no bridge from the model, a thesis that forgets the last three quarters actually happened. Someone has to make the numbers and the narrative agree, and that someone is you.
As an Equity Research Analyst you'll evaluate AI-built company models and research notes, check the estimates and the write-up, and write the judgments that teach models what publishable research looks like.
What you’ll actually do
- Review AI research notes on real companies: the estimates, the valuation, and the thesis tying them together.
- Reconcile model and narrative: revenue drivers, margins, and a target price that follows from the numbers.
- Write the publishable note when the model falls short, with the rigor a covering analyst would put a name on.
Roles this fits
Common backgrounds: Equity Research Analyst, Buy-Side Analyst.
What we look for
- Experience in equity research, buy-side or sell-side.
- Fluency with company modeling, valuation, and financial-statement analysis.
- Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
- No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.
Compensation
$75 to $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
