About this role
Overview
Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.
As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.
What you’ll actually do
- Stress-test AI-built models on real corporate scenarios: three-statement linkages, DCF assumptions, and the working-capital logic underneath.
- Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
- Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.
Roles this fits
Common backgrounds: FP&A Analyst, Finance Business Partner, Strategic Finance.
What we look for
- Professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
- Fluency with modeling: three-statement builds, DCF, and the accounting behind them.
- Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
- No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.
Compensation
$75 to $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
