German Specialist

Overview

German gives AI plenty to get wrong: it botches case endings, builds compound nouns no one would actually say, and misses when du should be Sie. Fluent-looking output can still feel mechanical, and only a native ear catches when Austrian or Swiss usage would read differently.

As a German Expert, you'll judge and correct AI output in German, teaching models to write the way people really speak and write it.

What you’ll actually do

• Assess translations between English and German for accuracy, flow, and tone.
• Rate and rank model output in German, flagging broken cases, unnatural compounds, and the wrong level of formality.
• Rewrite what falls short so it reads as native German, not a translation wearing a disguise.

• Native or near-native fluency in German.
• An ear for formality, du versus Sie, and for regional variation.
• Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
• No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Compensation

$25 to $40/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
