Investment Banker

About this role

Overview

Models write a pitch deck's worth of confident deal analysis and miss what a deal team lives on: a comps set stuffed with the wrong peers, an accretion/dilution model that ignores the financing, a synergy number pulled from thin air. Someone has to catch it before it reaches a client, and that someone is you.

As an Investment Banker you'll evaluate AI-generated deal analysis, check the valuation and the transaction mechanics, and write the judgments that teach models how a real banker defends a number.

What you’ll actually do

  • Review AI deal analysis across M&A and financings: comparable companies, precedent transactions, and DCF.
  • Pressure-test the mechanics: accretion/dilution, sources and uses, and synergy assumptions that don't survive a second look.
  • Write the banker-grade answer when the model falls short, with a valuation range you could defend in a live process.

Roles this fits

Common backgrounds: Investment Banking Analyst, M&A Associate, Transaction Advisory.

What we look for

  • Professional experience in investment banking, M&A, or transaction advisory.
  • Fluency with valuation: comps, precedents, DCF, and accretion/dilution.
  • Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
  • No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Compensation

$75 to $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k to $100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
